We all suffer from it at some point – a tight achy lower back.For some people that niggly ache gradually worsens into pain.Sometimes it’s an injury that suddenly grips that area.

First we’ll look at ways to create length and space in the spine to reduce the pain. Then introduce movement and finally how to simply and easily strengthen.You know I’m amazed at how often simple postural changes can reduce tension and strain in the lower back.
Saturday of the long weekend sees us head over to Bundeena once again for our bi-annual day retreat. You’ll come away feeling like you’ve had a holiday – it’s a quiet escape just across the water in the gorgeous chilled-out atmosphere of Bundeena. Set right on the beach, you couldn’t wish for a more picturesque setting.
Start unwinding by catching the 8.30am ferry across our beautiful Port Hacking waterway to Bundeena, the trip will begin to de-stress you already. Just off the ferry is a chance to get a coffee or just stroll the 5 minutes over the white sand to our beachfront venue, Bundeena House, our home for the day.
There’s time to have a cup of tea and orient yourselves before laying out your mat and coming into the yoga space. The first yoga session is more asana oriented, helping you connect to the body.
Lunch is delicious vegetarian fare and definitely a highlight of the day! There’s space for a swim, a leisurely walk down the beach or just simply sit and enjoy the company of fellow yogis.
The afternoon session is a beautiful soothing restorative session including some quietly energising Pranayama.
Finish it all off by catching the 4pm ferry back to Cronulla – and absolutely wonderful way to cap off the day!!
