“Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind,
and the harmony of the soul creates the symphony of life.”
— B. K. S. Iyengar
Yoga by the Beach
Probably my favourite class – It’s so lovely being outdoors, listening to the ocean and watching the waves or looking up at the trees as we practice together. It really is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature.
We’re often interrupted by nosy birds or whale sightings, sometimes withstanding the wind as we stand feet firmly grounded in the earth.
The class is suitable for all levels, from beginners to more seasoned practitioners.
It’s a minimal prop class, you will need to bring your own mat, bricks and a belt if you have them. No need to book, we meet at Shelly Beach park in Cronulla just behind the pavilion at 10am every Wednesday. (We’re a pretty hardy bunch, class is cancelled only if it’s pouring, a bit of wind or drizzle is fine!)
We get coffee afterwards from beautiful people at Shelly Park shop at 11, so stay and enjoy the sunshine and connect with fellow yogis over a coffee after class.
